Viacom

Talent Coordinator, 2016-2017

New York, NY

I spent my time at Viacom working on the hit show Lip Sync Battle as a junior talent booker. In my role, I played a crucial administrative role in helping organize the team in booking the celebrity talents necessary to make the show a success. My duties included managing spreadsheets, outreach to different talent agencies, and writing persuasive copy.

I helped to foster relationships between our team with those of publicists, managers, and agents. During the show’s run, I helped to ensure the safety and arrival of celebrity talents and assisted with any specific requests.

Working on this hit show and seeing the progress made throughout its run was a thrilling and enlightening experience.

ABC | Fox | Mgm | Sony

Travel Executive, 2013-2016

Los Angeles, CA

During my time at several big studios, I worked in the travel department and led a team of travel professionals to ensure the safe arrivals of all of our guest talents.

I began at Sony working on the Queen Latifah Show to help book air travel, car services, and hotel bookings for celebrity clientele. I started as a travel coordinator and received a promotion to become the head of the department in its second season.

The next show I moved onto was the Fab Life with ABC. It was a lifestyle morning talk show, and I led the travel team to success during the show’s duration.

My last position working in a travel-related capacity was with Fox/MGM on the Jamie Foxx game show, Beat Shazam. The show had complex travel requirements and operations compared to prior positions. I was able to navigate the challenges of being in the travel department by remaining efficient, organized, and structured in my approach.

As a travel executive, on all three shows, I was able to accomplish the following:

  • Managed travel budget up to $1,000,000.
  • Coordinated and tracked travel for over 300+ talents to the show.
  • Negotiated competitive rates with air, ground, and hotel vendors, curbing costs by $50,000.
  • Led a team of travel professionals to complete complex projects successfully.

CBS
Operations, 2010-2013

Los Angeles, CA

One of the reasons I went into the entertainment industry and pursued a degree at Emerson College was my love for reality television, specifically the show Survivor. Little did I know that a few years into my production career, I had the opportunity to work for Jeff Probst himself, the host of Survivor.

CBS offered Jeff his own talk show, and I received a job in the production department, managing operations for this project. It was a dream come true because I got to work in the presence of an idol and mentor. As operations coordinator, there were so many times where I had to be flexible and be on my toes with everything that came our way. I managed a production team of 5 production assistants and over 15 interns.

In this role, I learned the foundations of production management as well as financial reconciliation. This position paved the way for future opportunities where budget management played a crucial role in my job function. The show allowed me to excel in my project management abilities helping me to spearhead a big office relocation move with strict deadlines and limited personnel.

My experience at CBS was an unforgettable one, and it led me to work on other dream shows such as Big Brother. I consider this experience with CBS pivotal in building the foundations for my work ethic and the essential skills I possess today.
